2. The phenomenon of friction

Adhesion

Adhesion is the attractive forces between molecules of two different materials or the bond between two materials or bodies.

Plexiglas wedges with a 30°-130° inner angles

You can do an interesting experiment on friction and adhesion with these Plexiglas wedges. Try to lift the wedges with your fingers. If your fingers are dry, you will not be
able to lift even the wedge with the narrowest angle. But if your fingers are slightly moist, then you can. In addition, you can observe that adhesive friction depends on the contact surfaces.
